This reading gives you the text we will read each day. On average, it is a little over 400 words, but to not break things up awkwardly it varies quite a bit.
In the introduction for each document, Fr. Matthew P. Schneider, LC SThD will interview an expert in the field. Each other day, Fr. Matthew will read and briefly comment on the document.
I would recommend the PDF version which prints on 12 normal 8.5″ x 11″ pages.
