Spectrum publishes from the Seventh Day Adventist perspective but is independent. The publication recently had an article titled “Faith-Based Resources for Autism Acceptance Month.” This article included me and my book, God Loves the Autistic Mind, as 1 of 4 resources.
Here’s what they had to say about me and my book:

6) God Loves the Autistic Mind: Prayer Guide for Those on the Spectrum and Those Who Love Usby Fr. Matthew P. Schneider
“How do we experience God? God loves us as autistics and asks us to respond with our whole autistic selves―that is, autistically.” ―Fr. Matthew Schneider
Schneider, a priest on the autism spectrum, knows the particular challenges that autistics face in prayer, as well as the autistic traits that can be leveraged to deepen one’s prayer. With clarity and honesty, he shares from his own experience and that of others on the spectrum to give hope and confidence to readers. This ground-breaking book includes 52 meditations which provide a coherent progression of material for prayer that can be used on a daily or weekly basis.
Thank you for writing about Autism and prayer. Actually, Autism has been around for thousands of years. Similarly America and its inhabitants were there before Columbus’ discovery in 1492. So when we read the Bible or the lives of the saints, we can notice the descriptions of some of the people and wonder if they were on the spectrum.
